A variety of products are available allowing you to choose the product that best fits your needs. All grades of Thermotec thermal pipe insulation have similar “R-value”performance, exhibiting excellent thermal conductivity, non-toxicity and resistance to moisture absorption. Fire performance, noise attenuation, chemical resistance, operating temperatures, size, wall thickness, availability and cost are factors which will usually lead to the selection of a specific grade of Thermotec pipe insulation. Thermotec 4-Zero Pipe Insulation is widely specified for commercial projects in Australia and is manufactured in Australia by an Australian owned and operated company. Thermotec’s E-flex range, 4-Zero & Thermalag Thermal Pipe Insulation are all GreenStar compliant and meets ODP-EMI4 in that there are no ozone depleting substances used in either the manufacturing process or the product composition.
Thermotec 4-Zero Thermotec 4-Zero Thermal Pipe Insulation incorporating a factory applied reinforced aluminium covering for optimum fire performance in accordance with AS 1530.3. 4-Zero has also been successfully tested and meets all Green Star low VOC Compliance requirements.
Sizes: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 38mm & 50mm wall thicknesses; product covers 12mm to 219mm diameter pipe.
Thermotec E-flex HT Solar Hot Water Pipe Insulation Thermotec E-flex HT is a “fit for purpose” Solar Hot Water pipe insulation. It is manufactured from EPDM closed cell foam and has excellent UV resistant properties, allowing for many years of exposure outdoors without deterioration or cracking. Thermotec E-flex HT is also suitable for the higher temperatures experieced with Solar Hot Water lines and can operate at 150 degrees celsius with maximum intermittent to 175 degrees celsius. Also suitable for HVAC applications.
Thermotec MAXTAPE Insulating Foam Tape MAXTAPE is made from EPDM insulating foam sheet and specially coated with selected acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive to ensure good tacking strength and long service life. It is closed cell, lightweight, having stable and low thermal conductivity value which serves the insulating purpose in retarding heat loss, heat gain and condensation protection. MAXTAPE is also ideal for use as a Purlin Tape and will ensure reduction of all thermal movement noises, on steel framed buildings, with no deterioration over time.
Thermotec E-flex ST Thermotec E-flex ST is an elastomeric closed cell foam that is ideally suited for HVAC/Refrigeration and all general plumbing applications. E-flex ST exceeds the requirements of the BCA (AS/NZS1530.3) and has been tested and complies with NFPA 274 Vertical Fire Test. E-flex ST can be used continuously at 110 degrees Celsius
Sizes: 9mm ID to 114mm ID with Wall thickness ranging from 9mm to 38mm. Standard 2 metre length with continuous coils available and self-seal available in common sizes.
Thermotec Thermalag Foam sheet cut to predetermined width to exactly fit large diameter pipe. Grooved on inside to eliminate tension and facilitate quick and easy application. Available with AS/NZS 1530.3 fire performance or alternatively with our standard foam finish. Dimensions: 10mm, 15mm, 20mm & 25mm wall thicknesses; product covers pipe work above 100mm internal diameter pipe.
Thermotec F.P.I. (Fibreglass Pipe Insulation) High density fibre glass incorporating a factory applied reinforced aluminium covering for optimum fire protection in accordance with AS 1530.3 Thermotec’s F.P.I. pipe insulation is recommended on steam and solar hot water pipes, as the pipes can reach excessive temperatures. Operating temperatures for Thermotec F.P.I. range from -10 deg to +350 deg. Dimensions: 25mm, 38mm & 50mm wall thicknesses; product covers 12mm to 200mm pipe.
Thermotec S.P.I. (Styrene Pipe Insulation) Thermotec SPI, foil faced, closed cell EPS polystyrene foam, has a nominal density of 13.5kg/m3. And is ideally suited to insulate chilled water lines in both industrial and commercial applications.
